Future Plans and Projects

Hello, everyone!

I hope you’ve been enjoying Love Like the Galaxy! I’m at a point now where I’ve translated/edited up to the end of the first volume (chapter 38) and have a good chunk of the beginning of the next volume translated. I’ve started to think about how I want the future of this blog to go and the next novels I want to translate.

My goal by the end of the year is to be able to have my own website and have a few projects underway. Writing has always been my passion and I’ve discovered that the translation progress is also becoming a passion as well.

I want to give everyone who comes here an option to voice their opinions on what they’d like to read next. My plan is to get enough going that there can be multiple updates a week. I am open to suggestions but have three novels I’m currently interested in translating next.

The Story of Minglan is also by Guan Xin Ze Luan, the same author as Love Like the Galaxy. The drama is amazing, one of my favorite series of all time. https://mydramalist.com/23911-the-story-of-ming-lan

Gone With The Rain is a new series that has a lot of promise. I’ve read the first two chapters and it’s definitely caught my interest. The only thing is that the series and the novel are set in different time periods. The show is set in the Tang dynasty, while the novel is set during the early days of the People’s Republic of China. It’s also relatively short, 28 chapters. https://mydramalist.com/77851-feng-yu-nong-yan-zhi-luan

Falling Into Your Smile is a modern day story about an E-Sports competition. The series was a huge success and, if I’m not mistaken, a second season is being filmed. I know it’s been translated already and there’s some controversy over the author’s novel, but I still enjoyed it. https://mydramalist.com/49241-falling-into-your-smile

Again I am open to suggestions as well!

  1. What I would totally want to read is the third book of author Tang Qi.

The novels going with the all time favorits “Eternal Love” = To the Sky Kingdom (Bai Qian and Yehua)
    and
“Eternal Love of Dream” habe both been translated. (Bai Fengjiu and Dong Hua) have both been translated.

But the books “Wherever Step goes Lotus blooms” (Liansong and Cheng Yu) haven’t been translated yet.

This one I would totally want to read as Liansong and Cheng Yu do have chemistry but both dramas don’t really let out, what is the story behind those. And why she always dubs him “the playboy of heavens” and is so wary not to let her feelings show.

And the Bodhi Fate (Mo Yuan and Shawan) hasn’t appeared entirely, unfortunately.

    1. The only reason I’m hesitant to translate anything by Tang Qi is because of the plagiarism allegations surrounding that series. I’ll look into it but I can’t guarantee that I will end up translating it. Sorry! 😦

  2. The Story of Minglan has been almost fully translated already, but was abandoned about 30 (I think) chapters before the end. I don’t know if you’d want to start over from the beginning or just finish it. The MTL for that novel is especially difficult (at least for me) and I’d like to be able to read the rest!

    1. MTL can either be a great thing or a terrible, terrible thing. If I were to, I’d start from scratch which would be the only downside.

  3. The Story of Minglan has already been translated except for I think the final 30 chapters, which I’d really like to read! I don’t know if you’d want to start from the beginning or just finish it.

  5. I agree with all of the above:)) MTL translation of SOMing Lan was pretty horrible and i ended up reading raw, so having it translated would be great:))
I would love to read any story by the same author https://www.jjwxc.net/oneauthor.php?authorid=369294

  6. Thank you for translating Love Like the Galaxy. All of the options are great.

I just finished the drama “Who Rules the World” based on Qie Shi Tian Xia. I searched for the translated novel, but everywhere it’s incomplete.

So If you have time, can you start translating the novel? It will be helpful if you do so.

    Thank you.
