Quick Update

Hey guys! Hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to let you know that I’m still reading and loving your comments for the two webnovels! However, I have been sick lately which is why I haven’t been able to really respond to anyone. I do have a backlog of chapters that’ll continue to be updated for the next couple of weeks and they’ve gone through a couple revisions so there shouldn’t be too many errors. Once I’m feeling better I’ll go through everything, respond, edit, etc.

Being chronically ill sucks, lol.

    Oh, no … sorry to hear that you have been sick.

    I have chronic sinus issues and know that kind of thing is no fun. I hope your problem is similarly mild … by that, I mean annoying but not severe. Take care of yourself. Wishing you a complete and speedy recovery! ❤️‍🩹

      Thanks! Unfortunately my situation is a bit more than chronic sinus issues. It’s also been really hot here lately and the heat exacerbates everything. ❤

    Hi!
    Dear Lady,

    first of all I wanted to thank you very much for the translations you have provided us with and I hope you health is much better now. I hope I can ask you a question if that is ok with you.
    Regarding the Story of Minglan, why don’t you continue the english translation for the Chapters 355-376 (end) that have never before been translated?
    I have to say here that I am a huge fan of the Story of Minglan (tv and novel). The novel has been already translated very well in english until Chapter 354 in late 2021 (they are available for free in the lightnovelpub and novel-bin.net websites) but the translation stopped there leaving many fans very frustrated. Since then, there hasn’t been any movement towards finishing the last 22 (only) chapters of this fantastic novel. I know every translator has his/her work but I was curious when I checked for updates in 2023 hoping someone has finished it and saw that someone was translating it again from the begininng. I might be missing something here, so my sincere apologies. No offence is intended.

      Thank you! And no offence taken! I had considered just continuing from where the previous chapters had left off but decided to start over for a couple of reasons:

      1) I have not been able to find a coherent translation since the translator decided to delete their webpage.

      2) As a reader, I would feel annoyed if the translator linked different webpages to read before coming back.

      3) I have my own style of translating and I don’t want it to be jarring to the reader going from different writing styles.
